In Loving memory & new beginnings December 4, 2019 – Posted in: Blog – Tags: , , , , , , ,

It’s been an emotional rollercoaster over the past couple of months seeing my beloved Nan slowly leave us to take on a new beginning. It’s never an easy thing to talk about or come to terms with; she was a huge part of my life and growth.

One thing I’m constantly reminded of is to celebrate her legacy, remember who she was – A true inspiration, a strong well-balanced Woman who fought until her last breath. I have been told I carry many of her traits and personality which makes me smile as I continue to make her proud as she watches over me.

Flowers are a symbol of friendship, love, loss and memories in our lives. Let’s talk about flowers of past and new beginnings.

Roses are the ultimate symbol of spirituality, purity and innocence. Deep red roses symbolise love and grief.

Lily is ranked fourth as the most popular globally. It’s the symbol of humility and devotion, modesty and new beginnings. Traditionally the white lily is present when a loved one has departed.

Daffodils are the symbol of rebirth and new beginnings. You can see why, vibrant in the colour – yellow resembling the sun and all its glory and the coming of spring – first to bloom after the winter frost.

I believe flowers are of great importance to everyone and our cultures. They uplift you, energise you, heal you and they create calm and well-being. Surround yourself with these delicate creations of mother-earth and you will notice their profound effect on you.
